What Immich does
Immich automatically backs up photos and videos from phones, offering timeline browsing, face recognition, and album sharing similar to Google Photos or Apple Photos. Families use it to keep full-resolution media backups under their own control instead of a cloud photo service. Machine learning runs locally rather than in the cloud, so photo content never has to leave the user's own server.
