What Jellyfin does
Jellyfin organizes and streams a personal library of movies, TV shows, and music to apps on phones, smart TVs, and browsers, acting as a fully open alternative to Plex or Emby. It has no telemetry and no paid tier gating core features. Its plugin system adds features like live TV, DVR recording, and additional metadata providers beyond the base install.
