What Letta does

Letta (formerly MemGPT) is a framework and server for stateful AI agents that manage their own memory across long conversations, deciding what to keep, summarize, or forget. Developers use it to build assistants that stay coherent over long-running interactions. It exposes both a Python SDK and a REST API, so agents can be embedded into an existing application.
