Matrix hosting on your own server
A self-hosted homeserver for the open, federated Matrix chat protocol.

What Matrix does
This deploys Synapse, the reference server implementation of the Matrix protocol, which handles account management, message storage, and federation with other Matrix servers. Organizations run it to control their own encrypted chat infrastructure instead of depending on a single vendor's platform. Any Matrix-compatible client, not just Element, can connect to a self-hosted Synapse server for messaging.
