What Milvus does

Milvus is a distributed vector database designed to handle very large embedding collections with high throughput, using a separated storage and compute architecture. It's aimed at teams running large-scale semantic search or recommendation systems rather than small prototypes. It supports multiple index types, so teams can trade off search accuracy, speed, and memory use for their specific workload.
