What Bitwarden does
This runs the official Bitwarden server, storing encrypted vaults for password and secrets management across the official Bitwarden apps and browser extensions. Organizations self-host it for full control over where encrypted credential data lives, at the cost of a heavier server footprint than Vaultwarden. Its admin console also supports enforced organization policies, such as requiring two-factor authentication for every member.
